Search Help
When searching the encyclopedia, you will get better resutls if you use British spelling. Search syntax and boolean operators can be used such as *, " ", AND, OR, NOT, and ( ). You can also search in natural language (ask a question), but boolean is probably better. You may want to use abbreviations in your query.
Sources
The full text of Encyclopedia Britannica (over 70,000 articles) can be searched, however, unless you pay, you only have access to the first paragraph of each article. "The Web's Best Sites" contains over 125,000 sites that have been reviewed and rated by Britannica's staff. "Magazines" included are hundreds of archived articles from over 70 magazines. Related products is another revenue source for Britannica, but you may find this useful.
