Northern Light is one of the older search engines around. It is not one of the most popular ones, however it is one of the best.
It is one of few today which support full boolean searching, it has topic clustering, and it lets you create search alerts which e-mail you when new documents are found for your searches.
Northern Light is the only search engine which includes documents not found anywhere else; they call it their Special Collection of over 7,100 publications. Each article requires a small fee, usually several dollars.
