AllTheWeb's image search engine is one of the best and largest around. It uses the same search syntax as the AllTheWeb Web Search, so see that page for more information.
Unfortunately, searches will often show duplicate images.
Results
Results pages show nine images each. Each one is a link to information about it, and a magnifying glass icon below it is a link to the actual image file. To see the page that the image was on,
click on the image and then click on "Page" beside "Links." The main results page shows the filename, the image size (pixels) and the file type.
