Moreover is one of the best online news services. It collects news headlines from over 3,000 sources, and sorts them into 330 edited and 431 unedited categories. All the big news sources (CNN, BBC, New York Times, AP) are included along with many topic specific sources and even newsgroups. The headlines are collected along with source name and date, and displayed as links to the articles in each category or by searching. Moreover's search is powered by Inktomi, however they license their products to many other sources. The most significant is AltaVista's news search, which utilizes Moreover's content exclusively. Non-commercial webmasters can also put a Moreover news category on their own site (hence the Read News page). Moreover's headlines are updated every fifteen minutes, which should be fast enough for everyone. Now search results show five headlines, unless you register (free), and then they show twenty-five.
