Singingfish (called Singingfish because they search streaming media like audio and video) has a database of over 2.5 million listings, possibly a lot more. They describe their results as ultimately satisfying. According to them, their "automated workflow" enables them to index up-to-the-minute content such as news and live events. They also claim to be 99.9% free of dead links.The managing of media into radio, finance, etc., is done automatically. Singingfish's plan is not to be a search destination, but to sell their search services to other portals and websites. They now power RealNetwork's RealOne Player search (details). Singingfish is owned by Thomson Multimedia.
